egg drop

Our egg drop worked both times and we had the best design, just kidding. No, really we had the best design, we had a box made out of popcicle sticks, bottles, hot glue, rubber, and jello. We made the box first, then we cut out the middle of some bottles and covered up the open parts. We put the top of the bottle in the middle of the box and then after that we put paper all around it. Then we put jello inside the bottle with the egg and used rubber bands to hold it together.
Then we put some rubber strips on the bottom to cushion the fall. As a last resort we put some popcicle sticks on the outside to keep it right-side-up. The first time we dropped it, it survived, but needed changes. We totally took off the sticcks keeping it up and then tried to make a hang glider. The hang glider wouldn't work, so we ended up dropping it without anything new. When we dropped it from higher up, the invention worked even better. The rubber strips on the bottom even made it bounce. Ours was one of the only devices that withstood that height for two drops.

Houston Trip

I learned that the channel has some of the biggest sharks in the world. They also have various different kinds of sharks. The biggest sharks they have are the Bull sharks. They have a shrimp that can break glass with a weapon on it and it is called a thumbsplitter for a reason. I learned where the different organs are inside a squid, and that squid have three hearts. Squid actually only have two arms, and they have an ink pouch inside them. The pulp of the body can actually shoot water at you for a defence. Dolphins like to swim in front of boats to race them for fun. I also learned about all the missions to space to fix the huge telescope.

my research paper

I learned all about many weapons during my research, but the coolest one is the katar. The katar is the most famous indian weapon. The weapon is a blade attached to two poles going out the bottom with a bar in the middle. The fighting style for this weapon was to have one in each hand.

8th grade trip

I'm looking forward to going to the beach and dissecting a jellyfish. I'm also looking forward to seeing NASA for real. The best part is that I get to do it with all of my friends.

surveillance cameras

I don't really care unless the system gets broken into and terrorists are using it to their advantage. I would like the cameras if that didn't happen, for security reasons. If their is a robbery they would be very useful though.

I have learned all about the medical experiments they performed on twins and other people and they are all gruesome. How would you like to be tested? The doctors feel no remorse though, because they didn't even consider them as people. THEY DID EXPERIMENTS ON TWINS!!!

My favorite musher is Martin Buser, because he raced with his son and family means a lot. He has won the Iditarod a couple of times and he will do it again. Our motto is if you don't like Martin Buser you are just a plain old loser. The people who like Martin Buser or the fanclub or whatever is Chris, Colton, and I. Martin Buser isn't who most people like, but I picked him to be my favorite, not go with the flow.

Jack London went through a lot to actually become a successful man. He worked when he was a boy, he was a homeless man, he divorced with his wife, his house burned, he quit college in his first year, but he ended up to be very wealthy. Right when things started to go good for him he died. I can't imagine being poor now, but being poor a long time ago sounds worse. His writing must have inspired a lot of people for him to go from homeless to rich.
